轉貼 One Family Folk Music Gala

With a view to revive the culture of traditional music in the Schools and among our alumni community, the Foundation will jointly organise a Folk Music Gala on Sun, 30th August 2009 at the Jockey Club Auditorium, The HK Polytechnic University, together with the 2 PSAs.

In the form of a Singing Contest, this Gala will allow Wahyanites to reveal their talents on stage again. What’s more encouraging, Mr. Albert Au Shui Keung, HK’s Folk Music Legend, will be our Chief Adjudicator and guest performer. Winners might be invited to perform in the Night of Performing Arts, finale of the Schools’ 85/90th Anniversaries celebration programme, at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in 2010.

Only 30 entries are allowed and it is learnt that 7-8 teams are already practicing. I am therefore appealing to you to support this meaningful event by encouraging our students, parents, alumni and friends of Wah Yan to enrol and/or become a Patron/Sponsor. Enrolment will start from 1-31st May and vacancies will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis. Teams comprising all current students can take part free of charge. So please invite them to move fast. Ticket sale will commence later and I will keep you promptly informed.

Please find enclosed an enrolment form for reference and actions. (downloadable from http://www.wahyanonefamily.org/doc/FMG-form.pdf) I will be very grateful if you could circulate and upload/post this form soon. If you need further information by all means please.

Thank you very much.

Best wishes,
Monty

轉貼 A personal letter from Cheung Chung Pan 20 April 2009

Dear Friends,

I have just received the attached letter from Cheung Chung Pan. This is his first personally written letter to us. Please kindly distribute through your respective networks. The previous letters were written by his mother.

Mr. Matthew Chu and I have just visited him at E-Da Hospital. We are happy to report that Chung Pan is preparing for his return to Hong Kong. Some of his wounds are still open and there is still remanent of the infection. However, the Director of the hospital who is Chung Pan's attending doctor judges that Chung Pan can return to Hong Kong shortly for follow up treatments at Queen Mary's Hospital.

This is the Easter Season. Let us rejoice! Let us continue in keeping Chung Pan and his family in our prayers and unfailing support. He still has some distance to travel before a functional recovery.

Gratefully,
Fr. Chow
